I completed forensic psychiatry fellowship training at University of Rochester School of Medicine in 1990, and am subspecialty board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
My case portfolio includes evaluations for criminal responsibility, competency to stand trial and sentencing mitigation, fitness for duty examinations for teachers, law enforcement professionals and physicians, independent medical examinations, torts related to psychiatric injury and sexual harassment, sex offender assessment, civil commitment and treatment over objection cases, testamentary capacity, guardianship and medical malpractice. I have testified in County, State and Federal courts.
My professional experience includes positions as a Staff Psychiatrist in a maximum security regional forensic hospital, Medical Director of ambulatory programs and education for Rochester Regional Health-Unity Behavioral Health, Medical Director of a sexual behaviors treatment program, and Director of Acute Psychiatric Services and Psychiatry Residency Training at the University of Rochester’s Strong Memorial Hospital.
