There is no need to download software or create an account. Just use a browser on a computer or other device (phone, tablet) with a camera and microphone. Just before your appointment, log in to the virtual waiting room via the link above and Dr. Houghtalen will be alerted that you are ready for your visit.
Please observe these basic expectations for telehealth visits:
- You can be in a vehicle but do not log in while driving.
- Be in a private/secure setting.
- Not in a bedroom unless this is the only area of your residence where you can have privacy.
- Be out of bed.
- Be appropriately dressed.
- No eating.
- Be able to adjust the camera to have a full body view if needed.
Nearly all insurances cover telehealth visits as they do office visits. Copayments are generally the same. If you have questions or concerns about your insurance coverage for telelhealth, please contact your carrier.
Payments can be managed during a telehealth appointment via the Square application if you have a credit card ready.
